What\'s best: a realistic alternative to gasolinesized sedan.
Worst of all: Manual Volume control buttons are missing from the infotainment system.
Interestingly: clarity is only available in Canada as a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV), but for a few months in California as a hydrogen fuel cell and an all-electric vehicle (EV)

Electric vehicles are produced in North America.
Since then, almost every automaker has joined the electrified trend, putting Honda in trouble.
However, Honda is not idle.
They have promised two now.
By 2030, the third of all their teams will be electrified in some form.
Considering that at the time of the announcement (they only lined up with the new Honda Accord Hybrid), it made it extra bold.

Hybrid (PHEV ).
Clarity has been around for months, but is only available in California as a hydrogen fuel cell or a fully electric model.
The introduction of Clarity PHEV into Canada and the rest of the United States reinforces Honda\'s inevitable commitment to future vehicle electrified.
It may not be the most striking.
I caught up with the car on the road today, but I don\'t think it was my intention.
Everything about clarity lies in practicality, functionality, and efficiency.
Under the hood is 1. 5-litre Atkinson-cycle four-
A cylinder engine connected to two motors and an electric battery pack at 17 KW.
When cruising at highway speed, the engine will only drive the vehicle under very specific conditions.
In the time, it acts as a generator, charging the battery pack with an electric motor that powers the wheels.
It takes only 2 minutes to charge the battery pack.
5 hours when connected to 220-
Volt charging station, but it takes 12 hours when trickle is charged at 110volt outlet.
Full charging will clearly show the electric mileage of 76 kilometers, and the total mileage of the gasoline engine is 547 kilometers, which is not bad considering that the tank only holds more than 26 liters.
The gas engine introduces 103 horsepower and 99 lb/ft torque on its own, however, with the coupling of the motor, the power is increased to an impressive 181 horsepower and 232 lb/ft torque.
Spacious and tidy interior.
The dashboard is simple and tidy, and all dials are easy to read.
Big touch-
The on-screen infotainment system is neatly installed on the dashboard, fully functional and easy to use.
The only disappointment is that there is no volume button.
This makes it difficult for you to control the swish action required on the side of the screen with your fingers;
However, it is backed up with steering wheel control.
The fit and finish are very good and there are a lot of quality materials to choose from.
The front seats are comfortable while supporting, and the rear seats can easily accommodate three passengers, providing ample legroom and clearance space.
The trunk space is 439 liters, slightly less than the gas-powered Accord.
Handling is a surprise for a car weighing 1,843.
Clear and elegant, smooth and comfortable ride;
The added insulation minimizes any road and wind noise and makes it quieter than I expected.
The battery pack is installed very low and is located below the seat, reducing the center of gravity.
This helps reduce the roll of the body, especially when pushing it into bending and turning.
The electric motor is agile, pulling the car in a mid-range and further accessible.
The vehicle\'s response to the driver\'s input depends on which drive mode is selected: Econ, Sport, or HV.
As you would expect, the Econ is set up to maximize battery power and fuel efficiency in parking and transportation.
The motion mode adds more vitality and the engine starts faster, thus accelerating.
HV mode prioritizes the gas engine and allows to save renewable power for future use, or directly charge the battery while holding down the button for a longer period of time.
When you are on the highway and you want to regenerate enough power to prepare for the traffic congestion after leaving, this is the best option.
Like most hybrid cars.
For electric vehicles, the regenerative braking has played a lot of rolling clarity.
Two dials mounted on the steering wheel allow the driver to remove the foot from the brake pedal and control how much regenerative braking is applied when leaving the throttle.
There are four different levels of braking, each with a more aggressive deceleration capability that can be controlled by the driver.
However, unlike some races, the paddle does not make the vehicle completely stop, unlike others
Pedal drive system.
Clarity will be divided into two cut levels, with basic clarity starting at $39,900 and top travel cuts starting at $43,900.
It\'s all blind.
On-site alarm, adaptive cruise and lane-
Like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keep the standard assist.
The price seems a bit high, but the $14,000 rebate from the Ontario government makes it a replacement for any gasoline --
Medium car.
